Melting Pot Music was founded in 2002 by Oliver "Olski" von Felbert, a DJ, music activist and former Groove Attack / Superrappin A&R from Cologne, Germany. The first commercial release was a 45 single by Lefties Soul Connection from Amsterdam. 500 copies pressed and sold-out within three weeks.

Some four years later MPM is the home of artists like DJ Day, A-ko, Devil McDoom, Hawkeye, Le Scratchfunk, Upskiboo and Imperial Breed. The MPM sound is rooted in hip-hop (culture) and the artists come from all the place (Amsterdam, Palm Springs, Kopenhagen, Paris, Hamburg...). MPM is taking the old to the new and we have just begun!
